Well, when seeing them live without knowing their stuff it might indeed be kinda "strange". I´ve heard that from quite a lot of people. But as soon as you got into their stuff, it´s greaat! They´re definitely among my alltime favs...top 5 I´d say, hehe. Mikael is surely one of the greatest vocalists, because he has an awesome clean voice and the growls are really deep and kinda "warm" (dunno how to explain that). One of the very few people, who´s top at both styles.

Deliverance! That's the one! I still have to go through the majority of their albums (I've heard Orchid, Blackwater Park, Ghost Reveries, Damnation and Watershed so far). Guess I've got a new album on my "to buy" list. Thank's a lot!
Indeed. It's very different from traditional death metal. The sound, the tempo variations, the long tracks and Mikaels increadible vocals make them remarkable. Their music is thick with atmosphere and great for inspiration. I must admit I didn't really "get" them the first time I heard them either, but since then they've climbed my list of favorites and claimed #1 place on that list.
By the way, I realize you've got to be fairly close to the stage to take these pictures, but isn't it difficult? I mean, people in the crowd are kinda competing for that place. I was standing fairly close to the stage when I saw Bring me the horizon and it took less than 2 seconds before I was sucked into a mosh pit and ended up way back in the crowd. Even if you get to keep that position, it's gotta be hard to keep the camera focused and steady.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
